High-Protein Cottage Cheese Ranch Dip

I'm always on the hunt for snacks that actually keep me full, and this cottage cheese ranch dip has become my go-to. It's creamy, tangy, and packed with protein—plus it takes about 5 minutes to whip up in the blender.

The secret is blending cottage cheese until it's silky smooth, then mixing in Greek yogurt for extra creaminess and a boost of protein. With fresh herbs and a touch of garlic, it tastes like the classic ranch you love, but way better for you.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups low-fat cottage cheese (2%)
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt (nonfat or 2%)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried chives
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1-2 tablespoons milk (optional, for thinning)

Method

  1. Add cottage cheese and Greek yogurt to a blender or food processor. Blend on high until completely smooth, about 1-2 minutes, scraping down the sides as needed.
  2. Add lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, dill, parsley, chives, pepper, and salt. Blend again until well combined, about 30 seconds.
  3. Taste and adjust seasonings. If you prefer a thinner dip, blend in milk 1 tablespoon at a time until desired consistency.
  4. Transfer to a serving bowl, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.
  5. Serve with fresh vegetables, crackers, or chips. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.

Tips for Success

For the smoothest dip, blend the cottage cheese and Greek yogurt first until completely lump-free, then add the herbs and seasonings. If you prefer a thinner consistency, add a tablespoon of milk or water at a time.

This dip is super versatile—try it as a veggie dip, spread it on wraps, or thin it out with a little buttermilk for a protein-packed salad dressing. It keeps in the fridge for up to 4 days.
