Ingredients
Method
- Set up three shallow dishes. In the first dish, combine flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. In the second dish, whisk the egg and milk. In the third dish, add the panko breadcrumbs.
- Dredge each chicken tender first in the flour mixture, shaking off excess. Then dip into the egg mixture, allowing excess to drip off. Finally, press into the panko breadcrumbs, ensuring they are fully coated.
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3-5 minutes. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil spray.
- Place the coated chicken tenders in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring not to overcrowd. You may need to cook in batches. Lightly spray the tops of the tenders with olive oil spray.
- Cook for 6-8 minutes, then flip the tenders and cook for an additional 6-7 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature reaches 165°F / 74°C).
- Remove from the air fryer and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes
For extra crispy tenders, you can double-dip in the egg and panko mixture. Don't overcrowd the air fryer basket, as this will steam the chicken instead of crisping it. Adjust cooking time based on the thickness of your chicken tenders and your air fryer model.
