Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds chicken tenders
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for spraying

Method

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F for 3-5 minutes.
  2. Set up three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with panko breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pat the chicken tenders dry with paper towels to ensure the coating adheres properly.
  4. Dredge each chicken tender in flour, shaking off excess, then dip in beaten egg, and finally coat thoroughly with the seasoned panko mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  5. Place chicken tenders in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they don't overlap. Spray lightly with olive oil spray.
  6. Air fry at 400°F for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  7. Remove from air fryer and let rest for 2-3 minutes before serving with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Don't overcrowd the air fryer basket - cook in batches if needed for maximum crispiness. For extra crispy tenders, spray with oil halfway through cooking. Leftover tenders can be reheated in the air fryer at 350°F for 3-4 minutes to restore crispiness.
