Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread or Italian bread, cut in half lengthwise
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter softened
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese grated, optional

Method

  1. In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped fresh parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Evenly spread the garlic butter mixture over the cut sides of the French or Italian bread.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Place the garlic bread, butter-side up, in the air fryer basket in a single layer. You may need to do this in batches depending on the size of your air fryer. Air fry for 3-5 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. If desired, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese during the last minute of cooking.
  5. Carefully remove the garlic bread from the air fryer, slice, and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra cheesy garlic bread, add a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese along with the Parmesan. Keep a close eye on the bread while air frying as cook times can vary between different air fryer models. If you don't have fresh garlic, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder can be used as a substitute.
