Ingredients

  • 8 large jalapeño peppers
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 8 slices bacon cut in half
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Method

  1. Cut jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove seeds and membranes using a spoon. Pat dry with paper towels.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well blended.
  3. Fill each jalapeño half with the cream cheese mixture, mounding it slightly.
  4. Wrap each stuffed jalapeño half with a half slice of bacon, securing with a toothpick if needed.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 370°F for 3 minutes.
  6. Place jalapeño poppers in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook at 370°F for 10-12 minutes until bacon is crispy and cheese is bubbly.
  7. Remove from air fryer, let cool for 2-3 minutes, remove toothpicks if used, and serve warm with ranch or sour cream for dipping.

Notes

For milder poppers, choose larger jalapeños and remove all seeds and membranes thoroughly. If bacon isn't crispy enough after 12 minutes, add 2-3 more minutes of cooking time. Make sure not to overcrowd the air fryer basket - cook in batches if necessary for best results.
