Ingredients

Salmon
  • 4 fillets salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Lemon Butter Sauce
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Brush them lightly with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Place the salmon skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, lemon juice, chopped parsley, minced garlic, and paprika until well combined.
  4. Pour about half of the lemon butter sauce evenly over the salmon fillets. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  5. Remove the salmon from the oven. Drizzle the remaining lemon butter sauce over the cooked fillets before serving. Garnish with extra fresh parsley or lemon wedges if desired.

Notes

To ensure moist salmon, avoid overcooking; it's done when it flakes easily. For extra flavor, marinate the salmon in the lemon butter for 15-20 minutes before baking. Serve with a side of roasted asparagus or a simple green salad for a complete meal.
