- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the feta cheese block in the center of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Arrange cherry tomatoes around the feta. Drizzle everything with olive oil and sprinkle with minced garlic, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until the tomatoes burst and the feta is golden and soft.
- While the feta and tomatoes are baking, cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
- Remove the baking dish from the oven and immediately add the cooked pasta. Use a fork to mash and mix the feta and tomatoes into a creamy sauce, tossing with the pasta.
- Add reserved pasta water a little at a time if needed to reach desired sauce consistency.
- Stir in fresh basil and serve immediately while hot.

Notes
Use a good quality block feta cheese for best results - pre-crumbled feta won't melt properly. You can add fresh spinach or arugula when tossing the pasta for extra nutrition. This dish reheats well but may need a splash of water or olive oil to loosen the sauce.
