Ingredients
Method
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
- In a large bowl, combine ricotta cheese, 1 cup mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, beaten eggs, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and fresh basil. Mix until well combined.
- Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce on the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Arrange 12 frozen dumplings in a single layer over the sauce.
- Spread half of the ricotta cheese mixture evenly over the dumplings. Top with 1 cup of marinara sauce and sprinkle with 1 cup of mozzarella cheese.
- Arrange the remaining 12 dumplings over the cheese layer. Spread the remaining ricotta mixture on top, then cover with the remaining marinara sauce.
- Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil. Bake for 35 minutes. Remove foil, sprinkle with remaining 1 cup mozzarella cheese, and bake uncovered for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from oven and let stand for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with additional fresh basil if desired and serve hot.

Notes
No need to thaw the dumplings before assembling - they will cook perfectly in the oven. You can substitute the marinara sauce with Alfredo sauce for a creamier version. Leftovers reheat beautifully in the microwave or oven and taste even better the next day as the flavors meld together.
