Ingredients
Method
- Peel and roughly chop the fresh ginger. Squeeze fresh lemon juice.
- Combine the chopped ginger, lemon juice, ground turmeric, cayenne pepper, honey (if using), and filtered water in a high-speed blender.
- Blend on high speed until the mixture is as smooth as possible, about 1-2 minutes.
- Place a fine-mesh sieve or a nut milk bag over a bowl or pitcher. Pour the blended mixture through the sieve/bag to separate the liquid from the pulp. Press down on the pulp to extract as much liquid as possible.
- Pour the strained ginger shots into small shot glasses or individual sealed bottles. Serve immediately or store in the refrigerator.

Notes
For an extra kick, you can add a pinch of black pepper to enhance turmeric absorption. If you don't have a high-speed blender, you can grate the ginger finely before blending. These shots are best consumed fresh, but can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
