Ingredients
Method
- In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup sugar, 1 cup water, and 2 tablespoons dried culinary lavender. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let steep for 10-15 minutes. Strain the syrup through a fine-mesh sieve into a jar, discarding the lavender. Let cool completely.
- In a large pitcher, combine the fresh lemon juice, 3 cups of cold water, and 1/2 cup of the cooled lavender syrup. Stir well to combine.
- Taste the lemonade and add more lavender syrup if you prefer a sweeter or stronger lavender flavor. You can also add more water for a less concentrated drink.
- Refrigerate the lavender lemonade for at least 30 minutes to ensure it's thoroughly chilled.
- Serve the lavender lemonade over ice in individual glasses. Garnish each glass with a slice of fresh lemon and a sprig of fresh lavender.

Notes
For a prettier color, you can add a tiny drop of natural purple food coloring to the syrup. Adjust the amount of lavender syrup to your personal taste; some prefer a subtle hint while others like a stronger floral note. This lemonade is best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
