- Cut the watermelon into cubes, removing the rind and as many seeds as possible. You should have about 6 cups of cubed watermelon.
- Add the watermelon cubes to a blender and blend on high speed for 30-60 seconds until completely smooth and liquified.
- Pour the blended watermelon through a fine-mesh strainer into a large pitcher or bowl to remove pulp and any remaining seeds. Use a spoon to press down and extract all the juice.
- If using, stir in the fresh lime juice to enhance the flavor and add a subtle tang.
- Refrigerate the juice for 30 minutes if desired, or serve immediately over ice cubes. Pour into glasses and enjoy.

Choose a ripe, sweet watermelon for the best flavor - look for a yellow spot on the bottom and a hollow sound when tapped. For a slushy texture, freeze watermelon cubes before blending. Store leftover juice in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, shaking well before serving as separation is natural.
